This is a hands-on course that delivers both practical skills and health and safety guidance.
We keep the training groups small so that you’ll receive plenty of individual attention from our experienced instructors throughout the process.
This course is for those who wish to progress to the regulated assessment which acts as a license to practice.
You’ll also learn how to keep yourself protected every step of the way.
Worth noting:
Chainsaws are powerful and potentially dangerous tools, so you’ll need a minimum level of fitness to be able to complete the practical side of the training.
This course will be suitable for you if you work in or are looking to work in Arboriculture or forestry and are going on to do the Lantra Awards Level 2 in Chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting or equivalent.
Whilst we would not want to disadvantage you as a learner, due to the nature of the training course a minimum level of fitness will be required to be able to complete the practical assessment elements of the course. If you have any concerns, please speak to the provider.
